Please Note: Jessica is a commissioned Florida Notary Public. She is not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice, legal counsel, or guidance on document preparation of any kind. Notarization is the certification of signatures and documents only. If you have questions about the legal meaning or implications of any document, please consult a licensed Florida attorney before signing.
What Is a Notary Public?
A Notary Public is a state-commissioned official authorized to serve as an impartial witness to the signing of important documents, verify the identity of signers, administer oaths and affirmations, and certify the authenticity of signatures. Notarization helps protect against fraud and ensures that documents are executed properly and accepted by courts, government agencies, financial institutions, and other organizations.
In Florida, a commissioned Notary Public is authorized to perform a variety of notarial acts in accordance with Florida Statutes

What to Bring to Your Notary Appointment
To ensure a smooth and efficient notary session, please arrive prepared with the following:
A valid, government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID)
Your unsigned document — do not sign your document before your appointment, as most notarial acts require the signature to occur in the presence of the notary
Any additional signers — all parties required to sign must be present
Any required witnesses — some documents require witnesses in addition to notarization; please confirm requirements in advance
Important: Jessica cannot advise you on whether a document is legally sufficient, what a document means, or how it may affect your legal rights. Please consult a licensed Florida attorney with any legal questions about your document before your appointment.
